MORTGAGE UNDERWRITERS
Location: East Meadow, New York office


Recovco Mortgage Management is expanding our team & seeks to hire three (3) additional Mortgage Underwriters in our East Meadow, New York office, immediately!

Duties:
  • Performing risk analysis and forensic review on client's mortgage loan files
  • Making appropriate and intelligent decisions regarding deficiencies identified during the review of mortgage loan files to ensure compliance with company, industry and federal guidelines
  • Diligently identifying transaction components that indicate the potential of fraud within the loan documents
  • Performing sufficient investigative work to detail and resolve any fraudulent issues that have been subsequently identified
  • Accurately record data and compile a review of the circumstances and applicable conclusions
  • Additional related duties may be assigned, as required

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of mortgage underwriting experience, and a minimum 5 years of industry experience from a large bank, mortgage company or mortgage insurance company
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
  • Strong eye for detail required, any additional experience with QC is a plus
  • FHA experience and/or DE certification are a plus

Underwriting Supervisors
Location: East Meadow, New York and Irving, Texas offices


A focus of business for Recovco is auditing individual mortgage loans to determine if assertions that such loans were improperly originated are accurate. Toward that end, Recovco employs teams of loan underwriters who audit loans to determine if assertions that the loans were improperly originated are accurate, or alternatively, that the assertions are incorrect, and in actuality the loans were properly originated. The loan audits are performed based on specific instructions our clients give to us regarding their required procedures. Recovco is seeking to hire Underwriting Supervisors (Quality Assurance Managers) to review the audit work performed by our underwriting teams. The QA Managers must demonstrate a depth of residential underwriting experience and acute accuracy, responsible as the final Recovco expert to review each report before it is released for our clients. The successful candidate will be able to understand our clients. specific and complex instructions, and will be able to determine if individual audits were completed in accordance with those instructions and with accuracy. The focus of this position will entail reading audit reports and examining accompanying exhibits and then determining 1) if audits were performed in accordance with our clients. instructions, and 2) if audits were done correctly. Additional duties may be assigned, as required. Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of residential mortgage underwriting experience
  • Strong eye for detail required, as well as experience with QC and compliance
  • Must be driven, demonstrating the diligence and stamina required to read audit reports throughout the day, and perform quality assurance on such reports
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must


IT Site Administrator
Location: Irving, Texas office


Duties:
  • Provides Management Information Systems (IT) operations support for our growing organization
  • Completes installs, sets up monitors, tunes, maintains and configures PCs, LAN, servers and operating systems
  • Performs and schedules backups, and contributes training and database administration
  • Supports the end users, demonstrating excellent customer service, prioritizing and offering a timely, professional response to all end user needs
  • Additional related duties may be assigned, as required by our CIO, to effectively support a growing local team in Irving, Texas, and back up our headquarter office in East Meadow, New York with critical (remote) support.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a Bachelor.s degree required
  • Minimum 2 years of helpdesk experience with basic helpdesk scenarios, i.e. end user issues with working systems and trouble shooting
  • Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and Exchange 2008 administration
  • Firm grasp of MS Excel, working with reports and data manipulation is required
  • Working MySQL knowledge with understanding of manipulating a mission critical database environment


Business Intelligence Vice President
Location: East Meadow, New York office

Title Insurance Claims Vice President
Location: East Meadow, New York office


Recovco Mortgage Management seeks to hire a person highly experienced in title insurance claims to lead a small department specializing in recovering funds owed to Recovco.s clients by title insurers. Recovco serves the nation.s leading banks and mortgage investors. Increasingly Recovco.s assignments include assisting with loans where it is appropriate to pursue insurance reimbursements for losses suffered due to title defects and related issues. Accordingly Recovco is establishing a title claims department, and is looking for a Vice President who will serve as department manager. The successful candidate will be expert on title claims including how to perfect claims, and how to respond to insurers. defenses and denials of claims. In addition, the successful candidate will be able to organize a small department to assist in the pursuit of title claims. Significant relevant experience is required, and candidates with law degrees are preferred.

Bi-lingual Data Analyst
Location: East Meadow, New York office

  • Making calls or sending emails requesting verifications of employment, as well as deposit verifications on loans being audited
  • Assisting Underwriters with research to identify and resource VOEs and other materials related to the loan files
  • Additional duties may be assigned, as required

Requirements:
  • Organizational and follow up skills are a must for this position
  • Must be fluent bi-lingual, speaking and writing Spanish
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills including Outlook, Word and Excel required
  • Knowledge of mortgage documents is a plus
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills required
  • Strong eye for detail required, any additional experience with compliance is a big plus


Data Analysts, Verification Specialists
Location: East Meadow, New York and Irving, Texas offices

Desk Review Appraiser
Location: East Meadow, New York office


Duties:
  • Utilize desk review skills to perform research and forensic analysis on mortgage appraisals
  • Perform auditing mortgage insurance rescissions and prepare comprehensive reports for our clients, large banks and major lenders to qualify research
  • Additional related duties may be assigned, as required

Requirements:
  • Must have superior writing and communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 years of appraisal experience, preferably with an appraisal review focus
  • Experience with writing reviews and written communications on a national scale, with retrospective appraisal review experience is highly preferred
  • Ability to satisfy deadlines in an attentive and focused environment
  • Minimum of a high school diploma required


Auditing Manager
Location: East Meadow, New York office


Recovco Mortgage Management is a leading national due diligence firm specializing in top-notch mortgage auditing for banks and financial lending institutions. Our business continues to expand as our client.s needs for and confidence in, our forensic review grows. We deliver a combination of swift, accurate information and excellent customer service to our clients, and it clearly shows.

Our Auditing Manager will evaluate and report on the internal controls of the company, including compliance with policies and procedures and assisting with the design and administration of audit policies. In addition our Auditing Manager will contribute recommendations for safeguarding of assets, systems and information, and compliance with laws and regulations, and oversee the auditing of accounting and financial data of various departments within our organization. Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for designing and implementing audits plans of internal controls and operations.
  • Conduct walkthroughs and interviews to evaluate effectiveness internal controls and adherence to policy and procedures.
  • Prepare internal reports and presentations for senior management detailing audit findings and weaknesses in controls.
  • Work with business units to develop remediation plans and monitor and report adherence to such plans
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management and clients

Experience:
  • A minimum of a Bachelors degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 8 to 10 years experience in audit
  • Ideally, a minimum of 3 to 5 years with a financial services firm
  • Mortgage banking experience is a plus
  • Audit designation is a plus
  • CPA designation is a big plus
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must
  • Confident ability to interact with senior management, clients, and investors
  • Ability to travel approximately 10%
